I have been teaching for sixteen years: six in New York City, two in Lakeland School District, and eight in the Ossining School District. For the last eight years I was the enrichment teacher at Claremont School, a 4th and 5th grade school in Ossining. I taught 13 different sections of math enrichment, as well as "pushing in" to every class in the school to teach 10-day-long units on such topics as economics, environmental literacy, poetry, journalism, etc. I also taught many different multi-disciplinary "pull-outs" for which students signed up. These were very popular and always over-subscribed. I retired from classroom teaching in June. My resume and references are available upon request.
